Over the years, Dr. Solberg has done extensive research on many medical and psychiatric fields. Her research has included subjects such as maternal depression, mental illness in underserved populations and the effects of solitary confinement on mentally ill incarcerated individuals. She has written many papers and has presented her research at large number of both regional and national psychiatric meetings.

Dr. Monissa Solberg is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist who currently provides medication management for adolescents and adults with depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety and panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, attention deficit disorder, schizophrenia and obsessive compulsive disorder as well as other neuropsychiatric conditions. Dr. Solberg is a specialist who can cite many areas of expertise, including the fields of adolescent mental health and community mental health. She also does forensic psychiatric evaluations and expert witness testimony.

Like most other practicing doctors, Dr. Solberg has plenty of education and training to provide her with a strong background for patients to rely on. For example, she attended medical school and also subsequently completed her residency training in Adult Psychiatry at The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She also once served as that school's chief resident of education. Through her academic training at UCLA, Dr. Monissa Solberg also managed to gain extensive clinical knowledge in wide variety of settings, including extensive work with underserved populations at Los Angeles County hospitals, as well as working with veterans at the Greater Los Angeles VA Medical Center. Her educational journey also included other community-based settings such as UCLA Medical Center and Cedar Sinai Medical Center.
